Why does america pardon draft dodgers flag burners and war criminals?

For starters, America is not the same Republic it once was and has become another nation with different values than what once had it a great and powerful democracy. Although immigration has continued both legal and illegal, imilation was the great spirit that bound those seeking freedom and a better way of life within this nations borders. That has not been happening for several generations and the fabric of this nation is tattered and frayed! Various people & cultures who come want to make this nation into the same nation from which they came to America and they do not come here for anything except the money, benefits and anything else they can get regardless of who pay the bills for their care! They want their own languages spoken and used instead of learning the American language which is and has been English since the birth of this nation. American patriotism is waving a flag (may not be the American flag) or celebrating a holiday from some far off distant land. Knowing the history of this nation is undesirable because the generations of people coming into America feel its unfair for their children to learn about American history, when they come from elsewhere and want that history taught saying they lose their ethnic identity and culture being taught only American history, along with America had periods of discrimination and they do not wish to keep hashing up the ugly past saying it is demeaning to their offspring! America in the modern day pardons draft dodgers, in the old days they would line them up to be hung or shot! In years past Americans who loved their nation, freedom and liberty did not burn their flags, they honored them, took them into battle against tyranny and flew them with pride, the symbol of freedom to the world. Now days, American has a different breed of people, many hate America and blame her for the world problems. Perhaps, in WWII when America's greatest generation statrted dropping off due to age, our nation was being replaced by those who never had to sacrifice so much to defend this nation, thus they never really had enough experience to know how fragile freedom is and how high a price must be paid to keep it through war and conflict unless they served in America's Armed Forces. That is my take on it....maybe I am right, maybe I am not...its just an opinion...mine!
