Any ideas in taming an older atiel?

Rather than using your hand try using a pencil or a ruler or something similar. Something that he is able to grip at the same time continue to talk to him. Do not rush him. Take it nice & easy & time will tell. The only other solution is to wear a light glove to save your hands. He is still probably trying to get used to you.
