If God created Dinosaurs, and God is perfect, why did he destroy the Dinosaurs?

I was only curious because God is supposed to be perfect, so what could possibly be the reason for making Dinosaurs extinct in one fell swoop? He couldn't have created the creatures to be imperfect, for He doesn't make mistakes....you see what I am getting at??
