Is 2009 a bad year or what!?

John Updike (the writer) died too! And Bernie Mac! And Walter Cronkite (the most influential newscaster of the 1960s). Yeah...this year has been sad in that a lot of relatively young celebrities died (and that affects current generations more), but in terms of the numbers of celebrity deaths, I don't think this year wasn't any worse than any other year. I just feel like the people that died were more famous.
