What is AFL trade week?

its a sensible way for clubs to be able to adjust there players list before pre-season training starts. there are many reasons why clubs will trade during this period. a high percentage of players that are traded are what is known as fringe players. these are players who are not quite making there mark at the club that they are at. they find themselves being traded in hope of a better future at a new club.
