I think you are right to trust your intuition. Four weeks is far too quick to be in love, or sure you want marriage. Words really are cheap, and he is saying all the right ones. I was just told I'm pre-diabetic. What do I do now?

My doctors kept telling me that I wasn't diabetic, but my blood sugar levels were higher then normal. So I talked to a friend of mine who is also an Endo and she said that I was pre-diabetic for sure after she looked over my numbers. She's not my normal doctor and it wasn't a formal appointment, but she saw everything my normal doctor saw and said I needed to basically start eating like I was diabetic, because that was my best way to avoid getting it later on. She also said though that since I'm not overweight and I already exercise and eat healthy, diabetes could just be inevitable, but again that cutting out stuff that diabetics aren't suppose to have would be the best bet. The problem is that I have NO idea what that means. I know no refined sugar obviously, and starches like pasta and bread. But what about starchy vegetables? And what about natural sugars? And are there any kinds of bread or pasta that is okay? Today all I ate was an apple because I was so scared I was gonna mess up and I didn't want my blood sugar to go up, and 9 hours after I ate the apple my levels were still at 115, so that didn't even work! (isn't 8 or 9 hours back to fasting?) Anyone wanna un-confuse me so I don't like starve to death trying to figure it out? Haha

Sister talked me into buying a jacket?

I wanted a weatherproof jacket that was somewhat casual/dressy. My sister rides an 1800cc yamaha roadstar warrior. i.e. HUGE motorcycle. I don't ride or own a motorcycle, but she talked me into buying a polyester harley davidson jacket that suited my needs for the right price..it was surprisingly hard to find a jacket like that in my city and the logo embroidery is more discrete than what most harley davidson products have.(sorry, can't post a link) I'm a big guy and it does look good on me, but the harley davidson stigma dawned on me later. I'm a little more conservative. People will think I'm some pretend biker, if they know me. I think she just coerced me into buying it, to eventually claim it for herself. It cost me $250. I wouldn't want her to have it for that reason. I don't even like harley davidsons that much and would probably own another make before I bought one of those. I have pain on the top of my foot - cany remember knocking it or tripping?

I've been looking for an unsecured canadian credit card for people with horrible credit but can only find ones for Americans. Capitol one seems to be the only one but they want you to have not missed more than 2 payments in the last 2 months and not have defaulted on credit in the last 2 years... which doesn't make sense because horrible credit would mean that you have had those things happen... so anyone know of an unsecured canadian credit card for horrible credit? Parents, do you ever get amd at today's tv shows and how they portray "everyday" life?

Why are there so few single parent households in the "just getting by" income tv shows nowdays? My son can't understand why everyone lives in houses and he doesn't (as far as his viewing shows) or why they have things he doesn't. I don't recall many shows in the past decade that portrayed a "normal" living situtation for families. I agree that the show might not be that popular, but in hte past there have been shows (the PJ's, Punky Brewster, etc) that has shown a touch of reality. while he may have lost some speed due to his retirement, you can't rule out Schumacher in all catagories. Jenson on fits into the top 5 or 6 in all those catagories as well. Even though I don't like Ferrari for forcing team orders back into Formula 1, I have to go with Alonso. Closely followed by Rosberg, Hamilton and Vettel. Kubica would get a mention if he was fit and racing. Vettel has had very little overtaking to do this year because he's in the best car. So it's difficult to give it to him ahead of Alonso and Hamilton. Rosberg could be as good as Hamilton in my opinion, but he's never been in a car to match the top teams so that's why we never see his real potential. So to sum up: Even though I don't like to admit it coz he drives for ferrari, Alonso is the best overall.

i know alot more theists that i suspect are alcoholics than atheists. one particular case is a deacon friend of mine, who run a still for personal use, has about 50 gallons of wine fermenting in his house at any given time, and never turns down a joint. in fact all the alcoholics i know at least say they believe there is a god and identify with one of the major religions, even though most of them don't practice. the atheists i know on the other hand seemed to all go through a drinking phase in their late teens early 20s, and then backed off or completely stopped drinking once they realized that it will damage your life. when i was dealing with my drug and alcohol problems (its all the same, alcohol is worse than coke, weed and most pills anyway) i was a hardened pentecostal, the same thought process that made me turn away from theism made me cut back on my drinking and stop using drugs, it was the realization that these things only take away from your life, and that the perceived gains from them are only an illusion.

Hi, about 9 years ago I bought two 10 inch subs for my car that are made by Advent. Not a popular brand, I gave $35 each brand new. These things have been through 4 cars, and I just replaced the amp (also 9 years old) with one that makes more power then the subs are rated for, so I keep the gains down...anyway my point is that these speakers sound freaking good !! I play them loud everyday and after 9 years they will still piss off the neighbors. You do realize that these games would take a lifetime to complete, right? Not to mention I'm sure they would be expensive as well. Companies would need bigger teams to complete these games in a reasonable amount of time, thus raising the prices on these games to pay for their salaries, not to mention the servers that would be needed to play these games on. I wouldn't buy them. You'd probably need state-of-the-art hardware just to play them. Waste of money and time. I think I'll just stick to World of Warcraft and Diablo II. Evap line or BFP?!?!?

Ok so I am 1 day late as of today. My cycles are typically 28 days and if I don't start on the 28th day, I always start on the next day which would have been today. I had slight cramping a couple days ago and then it stopped. My didn't start hurting until late last night and my are HUGE!!! I went to the bathroom twice today thinking I had started, nothing. So after work I went and bought some lil cheap tests and took one. The kind you gotta use a dropper for. I did it and the screen area turned purple I saw the control line but didn't see a positive line, although the screen was still purple. About 5 hours later I happened to look at it again and there is a 2nd line and the control line is still there as well. There was no 2nd line within the minute or so after I took it and I just gave up. So is that a evap line or BFP? I plan to retest in the morning, but still want opinions. Lol. A few other weird things.....never had a uti or yeast infection. A few days ago I started having this urge to pee and it kinda burned, but was not cloudy and no weird smell. I wasn't on metaformin or anything like that though at the time as they were just discovering how to treat it. I started clomid once diagnosed though but never ovulated on it. Hello! I used to suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder and used to suffer from severe body image issues. It was so bad that I wouldn't go out, lost my job and friends. I remember when I used to be clingy, I would do it because I wouldn't be secure with myself so I would need someone to walk with me everywhere so I could draw strength from them.You feel like a black sheep because you don't accept yourself. Also you need to realize that even though you were bullied and stuff... EVERYONE GOES THROUGH IT! :) Just get back up and dust yourself off. And about you feeling bad when you see your ex-friends, the reason you are feeling bad is because you are comparing yourself to them and making your self-esteem smaller, stop doing that. In a way you are self-destructing. Well going to the club doesn't make you cool or exciting. That's what they prefer. To me personally people that go to the club are egotistical ppl looking for attention to make them feel better, and to get some haha From reading your paragraph it sounds like you need to accept yourself for who you are. If you like chess and stuff keep doing what you love. Stop labeling yourself as nerdy. You are who you are. GOD made all of us different and he made you the way you are because he thought that was cool. I personally like people who do down to earth things. What you need to do is everytime you think something negative about yourself switch it to something positive. I've upgraded from 32-bit ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala to 32 bit 10.04 lucid lynx and my brightness control does not work at all. I am running on a toshiba satellite a305-s6858, 4gb ddr2, 2 ghz intel core 2 duo t5750 with an integrated intel gma x3100 gfx card. The function key plus f6/f7 used to work for adjusting brightness in karmic but not in lucid. even the brightness control panel won't work. i also dual boot the system with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and the brightness works fine on there so it's not anything hardware. is there and terminal code to type in to fix this bug?

Collection agency woes...?

A few months ago my wife and i defaulted on a credit card, because the interest rate got so high i couldn't make the payments. Now i am being contacted by a collection agency called NRC. I recieve at least one call a day from them, and have attempted to settle the debt, but they can't seem to offer a settlement without having my bank account number, etc. So far i have refused to give it to them, but they pressure me every day. I have asked for an agreement in writing, but they refuse saying they have to have automatic payments. They have also hinted that they will garnish my wages. Is there anything i can do?

A little peace of mind on folkloric changelings?

I have quite a bit of research on this subject and, frankly it scares me. I believe I may be a changeling, a faerie that takes the place of a human child. Troubles with depression/medical discharge?

For the past year i've had troubles with severe depression and anxiety. First off I have a great record in the military and good remarks all around. But when i was deployed last year I was hazed and harred continously. It got so bad it was to the point where i was removed from the platoon. I saw mental health while i was in iraq though i never told them i did have thought of suicide. I returned last fall and i have been trying to make a turn around. But no matter what i do Im always so depreessed and full of anxiety. Due to what happened Ive become extremely resentful of marines and the marine corp. I tried being motivated when i got back but here i am several months later and still having problems coping with depression and anxiety. Because of these problems i have no friends and i have lost interest in all things. Its gotten so bad lately i have had thoughts of hurting myself in hopes it will help me escape the way i feel. Right now i am taking antidepressents and vallium to calm me down. Though my main question is will they give me a medical discharge for all this? Ive never been had a page 11 or njp. Im not a **** bag looking for an easy way out. and i'm not an looking for a check. I just cant stand the day to day stresses with military life anymore. I just feel if i leave and am back home with my family who i am extremely close to i will be ok even without the meds. I just dont know how to go about my situatuion properly. I do have a mental health appt on the 26 of march. I have not been seen by mental health since i left iraq.
